First of all thanks for accepting my interview request. Please introduce yourself to SS Digital Blog?
I run a couple of blogs among which BloggingJOY.com is my most active blog.
I share regular updates to educate the newbies to become a good blogger and also share experiences and case studies to help them earn money from their blogs. Besides that, I am also running a blog on personal finance, MoneyGyaan.com.
How would you describe your blogging style?
Well, I love to share articles that solve some problems. If you read my blog, you will find all the articles are related to the common problems every blogger is facing to create a blog. Besides that, I also write about tools & plugins that a blogger needs to set up a successful blog. As a blogger, your content must solve problems of other bloggers and that’s how you can build your audience and help fellow bloggers.
What is your greatest achievement outside of blogging?
I am a common man like everyone. I do blogging as I love to do that and I found some purpose to help people and connect with other like-minded individuals. Besides blogging, I would say my greatest achievement is my family. They are always helping me to pursue my passion and supporting me in every possible way.
What do you think is the best social media strategy for getting more visitors to a blog?
Well, I believe if you are running ads on social media, then you can create some strategy to capture the audience. But if you want to attract the audience organically then there is only one strategy, share genuine knowledge and connect with people. Personally,
I have created a Facebook Group, where more than 10,000 people are engaging with each other. I have shared a detailed case study on how I grew that Facebook Group. From my own experience, one thing I have learned that if you are connecting with your audience, help them honestly, then people will definitely connect with you. And I believe in this simple strategy.
A lot of people think that blogging is an easy way to make money online. Do you have some tips for those people who are interested in making money from the blog?
You are right, the majority of the people want to become a blogger to earn money. In fact, I have also started my journey with the aim to make money online. But after trying hard to earn money in the first 4-5 years,
I was not able to make anything significant. But later on, I have realized that blogging is a different game. If you have passion & interest on some topic, then only you can create a useful blog that will help others. And from that time, I found the actual way to make money from blogging. There are many ways to earn money, but my favorite way is through affiliate marketing. As a beginner, if you are not aware of affiliate marketing, then I have created a video about that topic.
What are your favorite blogs and books?
Personally, I don’t read many books. But I read a lot of blogs. Few of my favorite blogs that helped me to learn & grow as a blogger are ShoutMeLoud, BloggersPassion, Bloggingcage, Backlinko, GotchSEO, etc. In fact, I can add many more blogs on this list.
What are the most commonly asked questions by your readers, followers?
There are many questions people are asking about their day to day blogging. I always try to help them by answering through my Facebook Group. Besides that, people also ping me personally to ask their queries. Among then, I have noticed a few of the common questions by beginners.
- Which platform is best: WordPress or Blogger?
- As a beginner, which hosting is best & cheap?
Most of the beginners have these questions as they are not sure how to get started.
If you had a list of ‘best-kept secrets’ [websites, books, online resources, tools] you’d recommend, which would you include and why?
Honestly, I don’t believe any such things exist. If you want to learn something, then you will find everything online. Just you must know how to search and find them. I always read every version of a single topic so that I can learn the views of every writer. This way you can learn every possible secret of that topic. And that’s how you will increase your knowledge.

To run a successful blog, you should invest in the right tools. Personally, I have invested a lot to run my blog. Here are a few of the major tools

what is your affiliate marketing strategy in 2020?
In affiliate marketing, I believe only 2 thing works best: Your trust as a blogger and how well you can rank your affiliate articles. I am doing affiliate marketing from the last couple of years and in 2020 also, I am following the same strategy.
- Stick to your blogging niche and share articles that help your readers.
- Target affiliate products through buyer intent keywords.
- Mix the buyer intent & informational content.
- Don’t promote many products at the same time. Better to try them and share genuine reviews.
